Eddie Hearn changes Tommy Fury vs Jake Paul fight prediction

Jake Paul and Tommy Fury will finally enter the ring together tonight, with the pair to fight at the third attempt with lots of interest around the boxing world.

High profile promoter Eddie Hearn has spoken about the fight a lot, previously praising Paul as being an 'average' fighter, meant as a compliment in professional terms. He even previously predicted that Paul would win the fight, saying that the American would beat his undefeated rival, telling The MMA Hour: “Mentally, he’ll break Tommy Fury.

"I think he’ll mess with Tommy mentally, and I just think by the time they get in the ring, if they do get in the ring, I think Tommy will be defeated before the fight’s even taken place." He added. "And I think he will win by knockout.”

Paul has an undefeated professional boxing record of his own, but is yet to face a full-time professional opponent while Fury has started his career with a series of wins against smaller names, but those with more boxing pedigree than Paul's opponents. It is set to be a fascinating fight and a higher level than the previous celebrity crossover fights seen in the Misfits series and elsewhere.

The fight is not being promoted by Hearn, with the promotion being done largely by Paul's own Most Valuable Promotions brand and Top Rank. However, the Matchroom boss had his say regardless, telling Boxing UK: “I’m quite looking forward to it. I did think that Jake Paul would win the fight, but I think I’ve changed my mind.

"It’s a 50/50 though which is a little bit worrying in itself.”
