Eddie Hall vs Hafthor Bjornsson: Icelandic strongman wins grudge bout

After all the anticipation, it’s safe to say we were all treated to an interesting fight between two of the most fearsome men on the planet.

Yet, there could only be one winner, and that was Hafthor Bjornsson.

The 6ft 9″ strongman was convincing throughout the fight, showcasing just how hard he trained for this moment.

Fight week was quite heated for these two, especially when they came face-to-face in a gym and ultimately had to be separated from each other to avoid even more chaos.

Thor fought Devon Larratt back in September 2021 after Eddie Hall sustained a torn left bicep, which prompted the postponement of the initial bout between The Beast and The Mountain.

Both Hall and Thor have previously competed in several strongman competitions against one another, and what started their ongoing feud was an incident during the 2017 World’s Strongest Man Competition.

After having his reps voided because he bent his arms and legs, Thor believed that Hall had planned for him to lose the competition, which then prompted Hall to post a YouTube video challenging the alleged claims.

Six months later, Thor put on quite the performance in the boxing ring yet again, which now begs the question, who does he have his sights set on next?

Will he want to step foot inside the ring again? Or will that be that now that he has finally settled the bad blood between himself and Hall.

Time will tell, but for tonight, the night belongs to Hafthor Bjornsson.
