Eddie Hall: Footage of first ever 420kg dead lift, aged just 23

Eddie Hall is one of the strongest men in the world, estimated to weigh anywhere between 345-433lbs depending on what he is training for.

With multiple titles to his name, such as winning World’s Strongest Man in 2017, he is also a multiple winner of UK’s Strongest Man.

During his teenage years, Hall was a successful swimmer, but things changed after he was expelled from Clayton Hall Academy when he was 15.

As a result, he began training and competing as a bodybuilder on the strongman circuit, training at his local gym in Stoke-on-Trent.

In 2010, Dave Meer was forced to drop out of the England championships organised by Elite Strongman due to injury, and it was arranged for Hall to take his place.

Hall made it into the finals in 2010, and would go on to win the whole tournament on his first attempt by half a point.

Since then, Hall has won six consecutive UK’s Strongest Man titles from 2011-2016, five consecutive Britain’s Strongest Man titles from 2014-2018 and the World’s Strongest Man title in 2017.

Hall has a deadlift personal best of 500kg, which he set in 2016, but a YouTube video shows The Beast deadlifting 420kg when he was just 23 years old.

The footage, taken from his local gym in Stoke, shows his trainer motivating him, and despite appearing to be struggling and shaking, Hall completes the lift and lets out an exclaim of relief afterwards.

Despite retiring from World’s Strongest Man competition in 2017 due to health concerns, Hall has had a very successful career and is motivation for everyone to never give up.
