EastEnders' Phil Mitchell's 'death sealed' after fans spot two worrying clues

EastEnders viewers have been left fearing for Phil Mitchell (played by Steve McFadden) as his mental health appears to have declined. The recovering alcoholic has also been teased with booze, which could spell the end of the iconic character, according to fans.

During Tuesday's trip to Walford (December 10), Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington) was shocked to see Phil living in squalor when she turned up unannounced.

Sharon visited Phil, leaving him fighting back tears as he tried to open up to his ex-wife. But their conversation was interrupted when she received a message from Teddy on her phone.

Nicola then placed a bottle of booze on the table as Phil looked on wide-eyed. Will alcoholic Phil succumb to temptation?

EastEnders fans have been flooding social media, speculating Phil's depression and alcoholism will eventually kill him.

Taking to X, one person wrote: "A legend like Phil Mitchell should not have a sad ending @bbceastenders. Let him leave with good vibes #eastenders."

A second stated: "I feel terrible for Phil he’s clearly in a bit of depression."

A third chimed in: "Really
