EastEnders and Strictly star Bobby Brazier says 'so needed' as he's seen after NTAs win while dad Jeff speaks out

EastEnders star Bobby Brazier has been seen for the first time after emotionally picking up his first major award. The actor was almost lost for words when he found himself up on stage at the Nation al Television Awards on Tuesday night (September 5).

He took home the 'Rising Star' award after joining EastEnders last year as Freddie Slater. The actor and model, who is weeks away from making his Strictly Come Dancing debut after signing up for the 21st series of the hit BBC One dance contest, couldn't believe he'd won the award as he credited his TV presenter dad on stage during his acceptance speech.

After having a giggle to himself at the enormity of what had happened, Bobby eventually said: "This actually has very, very, very little to do with me and everything to do with my dad. Over the course of the last twenty years, I have consistently heard him say 'because I can'. It was a mantra or a moto of his, and him just saying that it's... Because I can!"

In a video posted ot his Instagram Story, the 20-year-old could be seen having some physio amid the building excitement of the BBC One dance contest returning to screens.

The soap star could be heard laughing and exhaling as he stretched out on a massage bed. "Me and this lady are gonna be great friends," he typed alongside the video. "Soooo needed," he then added.
