EastEnders airs sudden 'exit' of popular character following murder drama
EastEnders viewers have witnessed the heart-wrenching break up of Suki Panesar (played by Balvinder Sopal) and Eve Unwin (Heather Peace), as the truth about Keanu Taylor's (Danny Walters) murder plot was finally unveiled.
Eve returned from Yorkshire, where she had been visiting her mother who had been assaulted by Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry), only to be met with a series of shocking revelations. She discovered that Suki had allowed her abusive ex-husband Nish to stay in their home and that they had undergone a religious blessing of their relationship, leaving Eve bewildered.
As Eve grappled with Suki's betrayal, the situation intensified on Tuesday when Bernadette Taylor (Clair Norris) exposed the real truth to Eve: Suki was being blackmailed by Nish because she had concealed the reality of Keanu's murder, which was committed by Linda Carter (Kellie Bright).
During the latest visit to Walford, Eve had a tense confrontation with Suki and Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) at the Panesar residence, revealing that she knew all about Keanu's demise. Stacey exited the house while Suki confessed to The Six's lies and admitted that she had kept all of their plans hidden from ex-convict Eve in an attempt to shield her.
However, Eve retorted that she only wanted honesty from Suki and didn't require protection, reports the Daily Star. Later in the episode, Suki declared her love for Eve and attempted to express her remorse for lying, but Eve was unable to forgive the betrayal and took off her engagement ring.
Eve's decision to leave Albert Square and move to Brighton has left EastEnders viewers in a state of distress, as she announced her inability to stay around Stacey and ended things with Suki.
