Early Rotherham United team news ahead of Portsmouth clash

Rotherham United still have promotion in their hands in Sky Bet League One but they’re certainly making heavy weather of it in the final weeks of the campaign.

The Millers have been so impressive for large swathes of this season but they’re wobbling at the wrong time and they need to get back on track as soon as possible.

Indeed, they’re now six points off of Wigan having played the same number of games, whilst they’re three points behind MK Dons having played two games fewer.

The Millers are still in control of their destiny, then, but need to get results on the board before it’s taken away from them.

Up next, then, they take on Portsmouth and positively for them they have no fresh injury worries to contend with:

No fresh injury issues for Rotherham at Pompey.

The Verdict

A big few weeks await the Millers as they look to seal their return to the Sky Bet Championship.

It is still in their hands, of course, but form has not been up to scratch of late and Portsmouth will be looking to try and take advantage of that with an early goal as they aim to finish their own season on the right note.

Rotherham need to stand up and match them, then, and we’ll see how that plays out…
