Eamonn Holmes showered with support from celebrity pals and fans as he says he's 'desperate'

Eamonn Holmes has again been shown support by his celebrity pals and fans after admitting he's 'desperate' for results amid his continued rehab following back surgery.

The former This Morning host has been keeping his loyal followers updated with his health woes and his progress for years after first speaking out about his battle with chronic pain, which he later discovered was being caused by a dislocated pelvis and a trapped sciatic nerve.

Eamonn has previously described his struggles over the past few years as 'soul-destroying', often being seen using walking aides, including on the red carpet, and was spotted earlier this year being pushed by his son in a wheelchair as he watched Manchester United win the Carabao Cup.

Over the weekend, the 63-year-old, who underwent surgery last September to try help relieve him of pain before suffering a fall during his recovery, could be seen undertaking his latest physio session.

As he worked hard on one of the machines, GB News presenter Eamonn said: "Hard to explain what this apparatus does ... but it's all about reawakening my Neuropathic connections. Slow progress ... but great dedication to me here." He then added: "I'm so desperate for results."

Carol Vorderman was among the first to respond, simply writing: "Champ," alongside a string of clapping emojis. TV star Lucy Alexander replied: "They CAN Be re-awoken. Goooo go go." Radio presenter Bob Harris posted: "You’ve got this Eamonn!" And This Morning's consumer expert Alice Beer shared: "Keep going E. Great spirit."
