Dying mum's family issue urgent warning to anyone who gets knock on the door

The family of a mum given just six months to live has issued a warning to anyone who receives a knock on their door after being targeted by a suspected scammer.

Michelle Butterworth, 48, from Seacombe, was diagnosed with pheochromocytoma, a tumour in the adrenal gland, in 2017 after suffering for 10 years with profuse sweating, anxiety, high blood pressure and cholesterol.

She had surgery to remove the tumour at the Royal Liverpool Hospital - but three years later she was told that the cancer had returned and had spread to her right lung, the Liverpool Echo reports.

The family hope to raise a total of £55,000 for alternative cancer treatment. But their efforts have been hampered by reports of a suspected scammer, who has been spotted knocking on doors around Woodchurch claiming to be Michelle's dad, Ged Cleary.

"We don't want people to be handing money
