Drive to Survive: Lewis Hamilton told to 'shut the f**k up' by Christian Horner

We all know how bitter the rivalry is between Red Bull and Mercedes – it becomes even clearer on Netflix’s new Drive to Survive series.

A snippet from the new series shows a clearly irritated Christian Horner fed up of hearing interviews from Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton.

Perhaps Horner is just frustrated at watching the seven-time world champion win consistently, after seeing it so many times over the last 15 years.

In the clip, the British driver boasts: “I feel like I’m only just getting started.”

Whilst watching Hamilton on the TV, Red Bull boss Horner says: “I wish he’d shut the f*** up.

“How many times do we have to sit and watch this s***?”

It is no surprise to see the team principal reacting this way as much of the drama in Formula One doesn’t just come from the drivers – it comes from himself and Mercedes boss Toto Wolff.

It’s just another intriguing storyline involved in F1 and it is one that will be great to watch when the 2022 season begins at the Bahrain Grand Prix on March 20.

The 48-year-old will at least have to watch Hamilton for the upcoming season after he revealed that he will be racing, despite there being much speculation that he may retire.

That’s following the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix finale which led to Red Bull driver Max Verstappen winning his first world title in controversial circumstances.

The Dutch driver overtook Hamilton on the final lap due to a late Safety Car and much fresher tyres to snatch the title away from the British driver.
