Drew Uyi honoured at Kenya-UK Trade Mission

Drew Uyi, a respected FIFA-licensed players’ agent and brand strategist, was recently celebrated on the international stage with the Outstanding Sports Personality Award at the UK-Kenya Trade Mission 2024, held in Nairobi.

This major event, one of the largest of its kind in Kenya, brought together influential figures from business, trade, marketing, and diplomacy, all united in promoting new business ventures, fostering partnerships, and bolstering diaspora investment.

Uyi, who is based in the United Kingdom and has long been recognised for his expertise in football and branding, was also a keynote speaker at the summit. His work as a FIFA-licensed agent and dedication to elevating sports professionals worldwide were among the reasons he was honoured with the prestigious award.

The accolade was presented to him by Stavros Spyropoulos, a member of the UK delegation, who commended Uyi for his unique contributions to the sports industry and his commitment to representing Africa on a global scale.

The ceremony took place at the Weston Hotel in Nairobi, where Uyi expressed his appreciation, stating, “I am indeed very grateful for this award, and it is a testament to the need to continue pushing for the betterment of players and sports men and women everywhere.”

Following the event, he also shared his gratitude with his social media followers on Instagram, where he acknowledged the support of Ambassador Joseph Warui, the Kenyan Deputy High Commissioner to the United Kingdom.
