Dream Man City weekend as Arsenal boss stunned by old pal, Phil Foden returns and defence shines

Manchester City will be going in search of a sixth successive Premier League win when they welcome Wolves to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday teatime.

City will be the second of the three title contenders to play this weekend, with Arsenal going first against Bournemouth on Saturday lunchtime. Should the Gunners scoop all three points, the onus will be on Pep Guardiola's side to reduce the gap back to one a little later in the day.

Domestically, City have been almost faultless since the March international break, only failing to win once. With a game in hand on Arsenal, they remain the favourites to scoop a fourth successive Premier League crown.

But as is so often the case at this point in the season, nothing can be taken for granted, meaning Guardiola will not approach the clash with Wolves lightly. With that in mind, MEN Sport has had a close look at what could forge a perfect weekend for City this week.

Last Sunday's 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest brought an end to City's run of scoring four-plus goals in four consecutive Premier League matches. Prior to the trip to the Midlands, City had brushed Aston Villa (4-1), Crystal Palace (4-2) Luton Town (5-1) and Brighton & Hove Albion (4-0) aside, putting each of them to the sword.

City will be keen to get back among the goals this weekend, particularly at home, and maintain their quest to strengthen their goal difference. They are currently seven short of Arsenal's tally of plus 57, meaning they will want to try and bridge the gap amid the possibility of that statistic
