Dragon Quest Treasures: What is the release date?

We recently received our first glimpse at Dragon Quest Treasures, the planned JRPG spin-off from Square Enix, during the Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase in June 2022. We discovered that the game’s release date is later this year.

The thief from Dragon Quest XI and his sister Miago go on an expedition throughout Draconia in the new Erik-starring game in order to find treasure, make friends with monsters, and grow your base. 

All of the monsters you can hire have unique skills, and you’ll be able to support them in battle as well.

During today’s Nintendo Direct Mini, the game received a cute little gameplay trailer showcasing all of the different abilities and the adorable little goodies you’ll be hunting for.

This fall, Dragon Quest Treasures for Nintendo Switch will be released by Square Enix, giving fans of the series a taste of something both familiar and new. Erik and Mia, the game’s twin thieves, embark on a new adventure in this spinoff of the main Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of an Elusive Age quest, which launches on Friday, 9th December 2022.

A younger Erik and Mia are sent to the world of Draconia in Dragon Quest Treasures, where they will join forces with well-known Dragon Quest monsters in search of wealth. Erik and Mia will hunt down treasure, earn their gains, upgrade their home base, and search for even bigger riches with the help of their flying friends Purrsula and Porcus.
