Dozens of homes evacuated as huge 50ft sinkhole opens up at the bottom of someone's drive
Around 30 homes have been evacuated after a 50ft sinkhole open up on a cul-de-sac in Wales.
Members of the public are being told to stay away from the housing estate in Merthyr, WalesOnline reports. Pictures from the scene show part of a driveway and garden wall falling into the hole.
Local councillor David Hughes told BBC it was believed a culvert had collapsed.

A local resident said that a drone had been flown over the hole and they estimated the depth at 40 to 50ft. He says you can hear very large falls of debris into what sounds like a fast-flowing stream.
It's thought a small hole first appeared in the road yesterday. Council officers and police are on the scene.
In a statement police said: "South Wales Police are dealing with a incident on Nant Morlais, Pant, Merthyr. The road is currently closed in both directions. Please avoid the area."
A statement from Merthyr Council said: "No further help or support is needed at this time but thank you to everyone who has offered it. Safety is our main priority."
They also issued a warning saying: "To allow engineers to keep working safely, please stay away from the area."
