Michael Owen has identified what he admired most about new Liverpool signing Luis Diaz.

Diaz was handed his Premier League debut when Jurgen Klopp opted to include him in the starting line-up against Leicester City.

The Colombia international made his Liverpool debut in the win over Cardiff City in the FA Cup last week, where he came off the bench in the second half.

Diaz started on the left wing for Liverpool, with Roberto Firmino through the middle and goalscorer Diogo Jota on the right.

The 25-year-old enjoyed a lively start in the first half, enjoying several inter-changing of passing on the left-hand side with Andy Robertson.

At half time, former Reds striker and BT Sport pundit Owen was maxing lyrical about Diaz’s performance.

Owen argued that Diaz suits Liverpool’s style of play “like a glove”, and why picks out what he admired most about his performance.
