Doc Martin star favourite to 'replace' Death in Paradise's Selwyn Patterson as exit 'sealed'

Martin Clunes, known for his role in Doc Martin, is the bookmaker's favourite to join the cast of Death in Paradise if Don Warrington's character, Selwyn Patterson, departs from Saint Marie.

In the current series of the BBC drama, the Commissioner has been informed that his position in the Saint Marie police force is being dissolved. This has led fans to speculate that the actor may be leaving the show.
