Division 2 and 3 Allianz Hurling League round-up: Offaly edge Kerry

Offaly sit top of the standings in Division 2A of the Allianz Hurling League after a narrow 0-22 to 1-18 win over Kerry at Fitzgerald Stadium.

David Nally was the hero for the Faithful County as his sideline puck went straight between the posts in the third minute of injury-time.

For much of the contest, Offaly held sway, despite falling behind to a Shane Conway goal for the hosts early on, but they finished the opening half strongly thanks to points from Cillian Kelly, Eoghan Cahill and Oisín Kelly and they lead by five at the break, 0-13 to 1-05.

Pádraig Boyle's accuracy from placed balls brought Kerry back in to it, with Jordan Conway also chipping in with sideline pucks and the green and gold got their noses in front.

Eoghan Cahill, however, would draw Offaly level, before Nally's late intervention seal a priceless win for the midlanders.

Elsewhere in Division 3B, Lancashire defeated Cavan by 3-11 to 0-14 in Abbotstown, while Longford were too good for Warwickshire at Páirc na hÉireann, winning by 2-10 to 0-06
