Dion Charles reveals why he opted to seal his recent switch to Bolton Wanderers
Dion Charles has admitted that it was a no-brainer to seal a move to Bolton Wanderers earlier this month due to the size of the club.
The Trotters played in the top-flight of English football for 11 consecutive seasons before suffering relegation to the Championship in 2012.
Bolton subsequently dropped down to the fourth-tier before securing promotion to League One last year and are now looking to consolidate their place in this particular division this season.
Charles secured a permanent move to the Trotters earlier this month from Accrington Stanley and has since gone on to feature on three occasions for his new side.
The 26-year-old sealed all three points for Bolton in their clash with Shrewsbury Town last weekend by scoring the winning goal at the Montgomery Waters Meadow.
With Ian Evatt’s side set to face Sunderland this weekend, Charles will be determined to produce another eye-catching display in this particular fixture.
Ahead of Bolton’s clash with the Black Cats, Charles has revealed the reasoning behind his decision to seal a move to the club.
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, the forward said: “Everyone at this club has been tremendous to me from the moment I stepped in the door.
“It’s a no-brainer [to join Bolton], the size of the club, how they play suits me to a tee and I am delighted to be here.
“There will always be pressure playing for this club.
“It’s something I relish and I will take it in my stride.
“I will work hard on and off the pitch and see where that takes me.”
