Diogo Dalot gives verdict on Erik ten Hag as he reveals Manchester United squad's goals

Manchester United right-back Diogo Dalot has given his verdict on Erik ten Hag's training sessions.

The Dutchman has been working with the majority of his squad for nearly three weeks now, with the team currently away on their pre-season tour in Melbourne. A number of players have already provided positive feedback on the training sessions, with Ten Hag clearly aiming to boost his squad's fitness before the start of the season.

United's Premier League campaign will kick off on August 7 against Brighton, meaning they still have plenty of time to prepare as they aim to improve on their disastrous 2021/22 campaign.

Dalot has claimed that preparations so far could not have gone better and that he's been impressed by how things have gone for United since the players returned to training.

"It’s very good. I really like the dynamic that he shows, not just in training but in general," he said. "Very demanding, pays a lot of attention to detail, which is good, and small details that can make a difference in the long perspective.

"I think we players are adapting really well to it and obviously we want to keep going. We know that it’s going to be a long season, a different season from pretty much every season that we had in the past few years, so we want to build something.

"We want to build a team together with players, together with staff, build something very good inside in between us and then do our job on the pitch and win games."
