Dimitar Berbatov makes Manchester United takeover demand amid Sir Jim Ratcliffe bid
Dimitar Berbatov has called for clarity over who will make the football-related decisions at Manchester United, should Sir Jim Ratcliffe be successful in gaining a minority stake in the club.
Ineos owner Ratcliffe became the sole candidate to invest in United after Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani's withdrawal from the process last week. His proposal for a 25 per cent stake is expected to be the first stage of a gradual takeover, with brothers Joel and Avram Glazer retaining power for the time being.
Some reports have suggested that Ratcliffe will take control of the footballing operations at the club once his stake is ratified, but there isn't yet any certainty on how the club hierarchy will look. And former striker Berbatov insists there needs to be clarity on the matter going forward.

"We'll have to see how it works out. We need to find out who will be making the final decisions, whether it'll be Jim Ratcliffe or the Glazers. I'm curious to hear what Man United fans think about it. Everyone is waiting for the club to be run better and if Jim Ratcliffe is the answer then we need to wait and see how it all unfolds.
