Erik ten Hag has been urged to make in-form Benfica forward Darwin Nunez his first signing whenever he eventually arrives at Manchester United.

The Dutchman is expected to be unveiled as the new boss of the Red Devils sooner rather than later, but for now, remains at the helm of Eredivisie giants Ajax. The speculation surrounding his future has been so relentless the club were forced to ban the English media from a recent press conference as a precaution to prevent more United-related questions.

It is seemingly a matter of when rather than if he is appointed and as a result, he may have one eye on potential signings he could bring to Old Trafford in the summer. Thankfully, former United striker Diego Forlan has already identified a candidate in the form of Uruguay international Nunez.
