Did Michael Hussey Take Dig At Mumbai Indians Over Rohit Sharma Captaincy Fiasco? A Fact Check

A post on social media went viral where Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batting coach Michael Hussey went viral on social media where the former Australia star claimed to have taken a dig at Mumbai Indians over their recent captaincy fiasco. In the post, Hussey was quoted saying that there's only one captain that CSK feared over the years (Rohit Sharma) but he isn't leading the Mumbai franchise anymore. However, the post has turned out to be fake.

The viral fake post read: "To be honest, this year, no one. There is only one Captain Rohit Sharma who has beaten us in finals, and he is no longer captain. You know who I'm talking about (laughs)".

Question during mid-innings chat: "Which captain does the CSK management fear?"

However, no such chat took place with Hussey during the Chennai Super Kings' iPL 2024 match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. In fact, Harsha Bhogle didn't pose any question to Hussey about the captaincy scenario. The full video of the chat can be seen here.

The Rohit Sharma-Hardik Pandya captaincy situation has been in the headlines for weeks, especially after the latter failed to help the team open its win account this season. In three games, MI haven't won a single game while Hardik's captaincy has been criticised for multiple reasons.

As for the SRH vs CSK match, the Super Kings couldn't bag the two points that were offered, losing their second consecutive game of the season. The Sunrisers were brilliant, both with the bat and the ball.

In the points table, CSK remain third with 2 wins in 4
