Devasvated family rocked by double tragedy as dad, 39, dies hours after uncle's body found

A family has been left heartbroken after facing a double tragedy involving a dad and uncle.

Dave Newby's body was discovered on Sunday, November 19, after being missing for four days. While the family was still processing the 72-year-old's death, his niece, Nicole Branwell, 36, received a call saying her husband Ben Branwell, 39, suddenly fell ill on the same day.

Despite resuscitation attempts, Ben was tragically pronounced dead at his home later that day. Ben, a mechanic, was described as a doting husband while his sister-in-law, Natasha Reid, said it's been "extremely hard" for the family, Cornwall Live reports.

"He had nicknames for absolutely everything and everyone too and was a completely devoted dad who loved his wife to no end. He said several times he would have never found anyone else like my sister and that she was his one."

Natasha said the family is still not sure what led to Ben's death, however paramedics believe it was a sudden cardiac arrest. "He had been showing signs of being slightly unwell and was not quite himself," she explained

"My sister was a little
