Derby County transfer promise as glaring need laid bare

Liam Rosenior has said there is nothing imminent for Derby County on the transfer front but his side remain busy in the market - but has promised his team are working hard.

The Rams have just under four weeks left to get any deals done before the summer window closes and Rosenior offered the latest on his side's search for players after the 1-0 defeat at Charlton Athletic on Saturday. Derby were beaten by a Corey Blackett-Taylor goal in the second half after a hatful of missed chances from the visitors with James Collins passing up two opportunities to get on the scoresheet and Jason Knight also going close.

Rosenior 's side have had to recruit extensively this summer after a big turnaround in players following administration. Lewis Dobbin became the Rams' latest addition to their squad in the week when he signed on loan from Everton and it would not be a surprise to see a new goalkeeper brought in to compete with Joe Wildsmith.

Derby County frustrated on Saturday when they were beaten 1-0 by Charlton Athletic.

The Rams should have been out of sight after a first half in which they peppered Charlton's goal and missed a hatful of chances. James Collins went close twice and Jason Knight headed wide, three chances that should have found the back of the goal.

Derby were all over a Charlton side that struggled with the basics in the first half but a Corey Blackett-Taylor goal after half-time did for Liam Rosenior 's side. Rosenior stressed after the game that he was not worried about his side's performance and with good reason - the goals will come and there is no time for an overreaction ahead of two big games this week against Mansfield
