'Definitely no chat like that' - Andy Robertson reveals what can't be discussed in Liverpool dressing room

Andy Robertson has revealed Liverpool's dressing room aren't talking about the quadruple - and admits the Reds will have to overcome a "really tough" run-in if they are to reclaim the Premier League title.

Jurgen Klopp's side are still a point behind leaders Manchester City having twice fought back to earn a 2-2 draw at the Etihad on Sunday.

With seven games remaining, Liverpool appear to have the more difficult run-in with home games against Manchester United, Everton, Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton Wanderers and trips to Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Southampton.

By contrast, City are at home to Brighton, Watford, Newcastle and Aston Villa with games at Leeds United, West Ham United and Wolves.

And Robertson is under no illusion over the size of the task Liverpool now face to overhaul City in an echo of their 2018/19 title tussle that was eventually won by Pep Guardiola's side.

"We can only focus on ourselves," he said. "I think we have got a really tough run-in, all games are tough in the Premier League especially when you get to the end bit. But we have some really tough games and we need to try win them, we need to be at our best, we need to be better than we were (on Sunday) and if we do that then let's see where we end up.

"We just need to keep winning games. We had to do it (in 2019) and we have to do it this year. It’s obviously out of our hands, if they win all their games then it is their league but if they do drop points we need to be ready to pounce.

"Will we need win every game? Time will tell. You never know. We need to win as many games as it takes, it’s as simple as that. We wait to see what results happen, we need to keep dealing with each game as it comes."
