Debenhams shoppers can't believe the price of £525 Japanese watch reduced to £70

If you're looking for the ultimate last-minute Valentine's Day gift for the man in your life, what could be better than a watch? They're smart, sentimental and practical, making it a gift they'll use for years to come - and think of you every time.

You may think a watch that's both stylish yet sturdy would set you back thousands of pounds but that's not the case at Debenhams. The online department store has reduced the price of Breed's Maverick Chronograph Watch by a whopping 87%,

The sexy watch, which is available in three colours, typically retails for £525 but can be picked up for just £70. That's an incredible saving of £455.

The versatile timepiece, which comes in silver, blue and olive, is perfect for any occasion, suitable for both business meetings and date nights alike. It's been given a 5 ATM water resistance rating which makes it suitable for light swimming, showering, or rain, but not for deep diving or high-impact water activities.

The Maverick Watch is powered by Japanese Miyota movement to keep it ticking on time. With the chronograph function you can set a timer for up to 30 minutes and the non-glare and scratch-resistant mineral crystal adds extra durability, so you don't have to worry about it getting nicked or dinged.

The watch has a stainless steel strap, case back and steel clasp. It's also finished with a carbon fibre inlay bezel, a magnified date display and a 24-hour sub-dial, creating a smart and attractive watch face.

The £70 watch only has three reviews at Debenhams, so far. The first reads: "A really good looking watch. Great value at the sale price." Another person was less enthused with it, however, saying "its not worth it".

Also available on Debenhams is the Stührling Original Depthmaster
