David Seaman believes Cristiano Ronaldo is 'frustrated' at Manchester United

Former England goalkeeper David Seaman believes that Cristiano Ronaldo is not playing to the ability we have come to expect at Manchester United.

Despite starting the season well, Ronaldo's form has tailed off slightly. The last time he scored a goal not in a penalty shootout was against Burnley in December.

His rotten period of form was emphasised on Tuesday night at Turf Moor when he started on the bench and failed to make an impact in the last 20 minutes.

Speaking on his podcast before that game, the ex-Arsenal stopper said that the 37-year-old is out of form.

"I watched him when he came on last night (Middlesbrough match), he is not on it," Seaman said.

"He is not quite on it is he? You can see it in the runs that he is making and he is getting frustrated as well.

"I have seen him a couple of times when the cross didn't come in and he was definitely getting frustrated.

"That Manchester United game was the classic example of if you don't take your chances, you could be in trouble."

Manchester United return to action on Saturday when they face Southampton at Old Trafford in the early kick off.
