David Njoku: Cleveland Browns tight end looks shredded in latest workout video

Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku is in incredible shape ahead of the 2022 NFL season as he showed off his workout routine on social media.

Last season was one of overall disappointment for the Cleveland Browns as a franchise, as after an impressive 2020 season, they took a big step back, finishing with an 8-9 record and 3rd place in the AFC North. But one of the few bright sparks for them was the form of tight end David Njoku.

He ranked 3rd in the team when it came to receiving yards with 475 and led the team in receiving touchdowns with 4. It might not sound all that impressive, but with the side being a pretty run-orientated team led by the likes of Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt, he did as much as he realistically could in order to keep the team ticking along.

What the team looks like next season though is still something of a mystery as we enter the final stages of the offseason and go full steam ahead into the preseason. 

Newly-acquired starting quarterback Deshaun Watson is currently facing a suspension following his sexual misconduct allegations levelled against him, although how long that probably suspension will be for is still not known for certain. 

They could have leaned on their quarterback last season in Baker Mayfield, but following his trade to the Carolina Panthers, he’s no longer an option for them.

So as things stand, it’s more than likely going to be Jacoby Brissett that will be under centre for them. But with only 37 career starts and 36 passing touchdowns to his name, he doesn’t exactly scream that he’s somebody who can lead a franchise to the Super Bowl. That means the Browns might need to lean on their skill players to do most of the heavy lifting.
