David Moyes happy for Jurgen Klopp to talk about Jarrod Bowen in confident West Ham message

David Moyes is confident he can end his near 20-year Anfield hoodoo when West Ham visit Liverpool this weekend.

Not once in 17 attempts since first crossing Stanley Park to Anfield as Everton manager has the Scot left the famous stadium with a victory.

However, despite recent inconsistencies, the Hammers boss is confident he has got as good a chance as ever when his side, who beat Liverpool in the reverse fixture earlier this season, travel north.

"I see it as a hugely difficult game but I also see it as one of these times I’m going to go to Anfield and win," said Moyes.

"And I’m going to give it a really good chance that it could be this time.

"The one thing I have always found, when you go to play Liverpool Football Club, they have incredible support. I’ve always found a passionate team, I’ve come up against some brilliant Liverpool teams, with some brilliant players and quite often I’ve been one of the managers of one of the clubs with quite a big rivalry against them.

"We’re prepared, we’re ready for the game against them. I’ve been in that situation quite a lot.

"I’ve also got to say that I have finished above them twice when I was manager of Everton in my last two years. Maybe I didn’t win there but I was able to finish above them."

West Ham may not be able to finish above Jurgen Klopp’s side this season, but a Premier League double over the title chasers would be quite the scalp.

If they are to manage that, Jarrod Bowen is likely to be key. The forward has endured a couple of quiet games - against Wolves and Southampton - following a blistering run of form.

Liverpool, who have tracked the former Hull City man, are aware of the threat and Klopp hailed Bowen as an "unbelievable player" on Friday. Moyes had no issue
