David Beckham says 'I'm being honest' as sweet tribute to wife Victoria on 50th features hilarious dig

David Beckham couldn't help but make a dig at his wife Victoria as he publically marked her birthday. But it wasn't just any birthday for the fashion designer on Wednesday (April 17) as she was marking turning the big 50.

Getting in there early, the birthday girl's ex-footballer husband shared an early morning Instagram post dedicated to his 'beautiful wife' which included a video set to the Bee Gees classic More Than A Woman.

The adorable video showed clips from Victoria's life, starting with a childhood video of her eldest children Brooklyn and Romeo wishing her a happy birthday before flicking through different photos and videos from her life so far.

But in between throwback footage of Victoria during her Spice Girls career and her dancing with her family, David couldn't resist adding a dig at Victoria's now infamous Rolls Royce 'lie'.

Those who tuned into David's Netflix series, Beckham, last year may remember that the ex-Manchester United and England star earned applause from viewers and fans for calling out his wife. In a sit-down interview with Victoria, she labelled her family as "working class" but quickly received a roasting from her husband.

Talking about her family background the former pop star said: "We're very working class" to which David could be heard saying: "Be honest". Victoria replied: "I am being honest" before David appeared from around a door and said again: "Be honest".
