Daniil Medvedev beaten by Adrian Mannarino in grass opener, Taylor Fritz starts with win in Stuttgart

World No. 3 Daniil Medvedev was beaten by Adrian Mannarino in his first grass match of the season at the Libema Open. Medvedev beat Mannarino on his way to the final of the event in 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands last season, but this time the Frenchman won 4-6 6-4 6-2.

Fritz, who won the title in Eastbourne and reached the Wimbledon quarter-finals in 2022, fired down 14 aces on his way to victory.
