Daniel Ricciardo praises McLaren team for solid test display
McLaren driver Daniel Ricciardo says that he is pleased with the reliability of his new car and that his team has done a great job of putting it altogether from scratch.
Formula 1 enters an exciting new era from this coming season, with all new cars set to potentially shake up the running order we have seen established for the best part of the last 10 years.
Indeed, there is a hope the likes of McLaren and Ferrari can return to battling for regular victories and even the championship, given the change in rules.
Of course, it’s very early days in the year to be making such predictions but it is clear that Ricciardo has been pleased with what he has seen from his MCL36 so far:
“[It was] a good day from many angles. I think reliability was great,” he said via McLaren’s official media at Barcelona testing last week.
“That’s on the team and everyone who’s worked hard to put this car together, so massive thank you to them.
“They’re pretty awesome to build a whole new car, put it on track and have it run so smoothly, so big thanks to them again.”
