Daniel Dubois out to make a statement with big win over Trevor Bryan

Daniel Dubois has vowed to ‘make a statement’ against Trevor Bryan in their heavyweight title fight in two weeks’ time.

The Englishman will challenge the American for the regular version of the WBA heavyweight title on June 11 at Casino Miami in Florida.

Dubois, 24, was last seen knocking out Joe Cusumano on the undercard of Jake Paul‘s rematch with ex-UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley last December.

And Triple D is hellbent on bringing the belt back to Britain by doing the exact same thing to Bryan later this month.

“I want to make a statement in devastating fashion,” Dubois told Sky Sports.

“By any means necessary, but I’m looking to make a statement.

“This is an important fight. It’s a fight for my career and I’ve gotta fight my heart out, go in there and do the best I can and more.

“I’ve changed things up. We’ve made the necessary changes, so I’m all systems ready to go.

“Of course. I’m going 100 per cent confident and ready to do my job.

“It’s gonna be a totally different environment and I’m relishing that. I want to just soak it in.

“Camp’s going well, and now it’s just the final touches. We’re ready now – it’s just time for the trip.”

But it doesn’t seem like Bryan is particularly bothered by his comments.

Speaking on Queensberry Promotions’ YouTube channel, he said: “I fight like every fight is my last fight.

“I am gonna give my heart, my soul and every inch, every bit of strength I have in this coming up fight on June 11 because, even with the heavyweights, this career doesn’t last long.

“Every opportunity I do get with names like Daniel Dubois and fighters after this, you want to fight your hardest and show everybody you have the heart and show everybody your skills are going to carry you along.
