Dani Olmo's transfer 'wish' revealed as agent speaks out on Man United links

Dani Olmo will not leave Barcelona despite ongoing uncertainty about his future amid links to Manchester United, his agent has declared.

The 26-year-old, who joined Barcelona from RB Leipzig in the summer, is yet to play for the club as they have been unable to register him. Barcelona have lost two court appeals to make the attacking midfielder available after reportedly failing to prove they had the necessary financial assurances in time.

La Liga only allowed Barca to register the player four months earlier in the campaign because of long-term injuries within the team's first-team squad. However, the Spanish giants are said to be confident they will be given the green light as they continue to work 'around the clock' to make it happen.

A number of clubs are reportedly alert to Olmo's situation including United and Manchester City. However, his agent Andy Bara has dismissed all the transfer interest.

"To be honest, I feel calm," he told Give Me Sport when asked about recent links to United. "It could feel strange but I believe in [Barcelona] president Laporta, Deco and I feel they will find a solution for Dani. It’s a massive club.

"We are not negotiating with any club. Dani is Barcelona player and he wants to be a Barcelona player. He has made a big effort in his life to be at Barcelona. It was his desire for a long time. Barcelona is the first and last option! Dani, his father, family, me, we’re not thinking about other options.

"Of course the best players are when players are free, but the emotions also matter. We have never made any career decision for money. Dani plays football as he loves the game, he made a massive effort to be at Barcelona. I’m also happy to have Dani at Barcelona, he's one of the best
