'Dangerous predator' locked up over abuse of two children
A paedophile has been brought to justice over the sickening abuse of two children. Greater Manchester Police launched an investigation into James Lalley, from Wigan, after incidents were reported to officers.
The 50-year-old first targeted a child. Police later discovered Lalley had sexually another child.
Lalley was charged with inciting a child under the age of 13 to engage in sexual activity. He was also charged with the sexual assault of a child under 13.
On Wednesday (January 15), he was sentenced to 11 years at Minshull Street Crown Court. Detective Constable Matthew Foy, investigating officer for the case at GMP, said: “Thank you to the victims and their family members for their bravery in coming forward and reporting this abuse.
"We understand how hard it must have been for them, but in doing so, they helped put a dangerous sexual predator behind bars. GMP is committed to protecting children in our communities and pursuing the perpetrators of sexual abuse.
