Dana White won’t be at UFC London tonight as Tom Aspinall takes on Curtis Blaydes

Dana White won’t be in attendance at UFC London tonight.

It was hoped the UFC president, 52, would appear at the O2 Arena this evening, where Tom Aspinall will be headlining for the second time against Curtis Blaydes.

But GiveMeSport.com understands White will instead watch from his home in Las Vegas as fighters prepare to get things under way later today.

The decision comes after Darren Till turned down Chris Curtis’ invitation to corner him in the co-main event against Jack Hermansson, out of respect for both fighters.

Till is also not expected to attend, with the Gorilla aiming to get himself fighting fit as soon as possible.

It means White will not be there to present those lucky winners with the Performance of the Night bonuses – which equates to $50,000 dollars – as he usually does.

But he is still likely to be tuning in as Paddy Pimblett looks to keep the hype train rolling.

The former Cage Warriors featherweight champion, who trains out of Next Generation MMA in Liverpool, was among the winners in March earlier this year.

And White was understandably buzzing after the event.

Speaking at the post-fight press conference, he said: “Tonight re-energised me and reminded me of what it’s like to do fights over in the UK.

“We’re coming back here this year. I don’t give a s*** what the schedule is. We’re gonna be moving s*** around when we get home.

“Coming into this week, I thought this was the greatest class of fighters going into a fight week ever in the history of the UK and were we right or were we wrong? We were right. Tonight, they came in and proved that they are.”

However, he wasn’t so keen on the idea of doing an event in a stadium in the UK.
