Dad and daughter head to the park on Christmas Eve to make a adorable gesture

As many people were getting ready for Christmas Day, one father and daughter went out to spread a bit of Christmas cheer. Chris Cork and his daughter Luna went around several parks in Manchester hiding boxes of chocolates for people to find.

Chris, 35, and Luna, 4, took several selection boxes around locations near the family home in Little Lever. He then posted an alert online inviting people to go and out and find them.

The engineer, who is also active on social media, shared that were 15 boxes in four different locations. These were Mytham Park, Ladyshore Park, the Park in Suffolk Close, and Little Lever Library.

He wrote: "Said it wasn’t going to rain but we’ve put them hopefully where they don’t get wet! Go grab one!! They’ve got individual trackers on so we know where they go."

Chris spoke to the Manchester Evening News about what made him carry out the Christmas gesture.

He said: "I hope it can brush off on other people. It's not a massive thing, I just want people to read it and think I'm going to do a little bit of that. I just want that to be the message."

"It encourages people to go out as well. It just spreads a bit of niceness."

Many people shared their thanks, and shared how they had found a box. Anne Calderbank wrote: "Thank you very much, my granddaughter pick one up on mytham park. Merry Christmas to you all."

Claire Mills wrote: "Thank you so much my 2 have just been and got one each," while Victoria Heyes replied: "We've just been and got picked some up for my 4 children. Thank you so much, really kind of you."

Chris has also visited local foodbanks to help out, and wants to encourage people to help out others in their community. He shared his message for anyone who is thinking about doing something
