Cyriel Dessers makes his Rangers transfer exit stance abundantly clear as striker has 'unfinished business'

Cyriel Dessers insists he’s in no rush to leave Rangers this month - and believes he can strike up a deadly double act with Hamza Igamane.

The frontman cast doubt on his Gers future earlier this month when he told a Dutch newspaper that he was seeking talks with club chiefs after losing his place to the Ibrox outfit’s new Moroccan poster boy. But the 30-year-old has responded to Igamane’s emergence by hitting six goals in his last four games - including stunning efforts against Manchester United and their Dundee namesakes at Tannadice. Asked if he had sought out senior Rangers figures for discussions over a potential exit this month, Dessers grinned: "No talks at all. I don't mind that. Saturday’s 3-1 win over Jim Goodwin’s Tangerines saw Dessers and Igamane start together for the first time. And the Nigeria international saw signs of promise in that partnership with his fellow African. He said: ”For striker, rhythm is so important, but I was happy to be on the pitch to play together up top with Hamza.

"And I think we have a very good connection, and hopefully that can grow as well. I think most of the time he came on for me, or the other way
