Cyclist seriously hurt after being knocked down by Audi in hit-and-run

A cyclist was left seriously injured after being knocked down by an Audi in a hit-and-run in Salford.

Emergency services rushed to the scene of the crash on Lancaster Road at around 6.10pm on Monday, July 10. Police believe an Audi A3 pulled out from standing traffic and hit the cyclist, who was overtaking.

The biker - a male - was left with a serious back injury, as well as injuries to his neck and shoulders. The driver fled the scene.

They turned right from Lancaster Road towards Radcliffe Park, police said. Officers are now urging any witnesses to come forward.

They particularly want to hear from anyone who has CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage of the incident. Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101, quoting log number 3363 of 10/07/2023.
