CD Projekt Red has finally revealed that the Cyberpunk 2077 Next Gen Update has been released for consoles, but what is the file size for the upgrade?

Fans have been waiting some time for CD Projekt Red to implement these massive changes to the game and finally make it native for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

As such, fans can expect to be waiting quite a bit of time for the update to install on their systems as the file size is pretty big.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Cyberpunk 2077 Next Gen Update size on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

After the installation of the 1.5 Patch and Next Gen update of Cyberpunk 2077, players can expect the game to be around the following size on each system:

It’s worth noting that the next-gen update will only be coming to the PS5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.

Players on Xbox Series X|S can get the update for the game by loading up the game and following the prompts from the Xbox menu to install the official update.

Players on PlayStation 5 will need to do a little more to get the free update for the game on their PS5 console.

As CDPR noted during the livestream for the 1.5 Patch and Next Gen version: 

“If you have the PS4 version installed on PS5 and with the play the next-gen version, please download it manually from your library (it will have a PS5 logo).”

It’s not surprising that the update for the game is so hefty in size, as CDPR has had to introduce a ton of changes for the game following the initial release back in December 2020.
