CT City move into top 8 after win over Golden Arrows

Cape Town City moved into the top eight on the DStv Premiership standings with a 1-0 victory over Golden Arrows at Princess Magogo Stadium on Sunday.

Ntsikelelo Nxadi replaced the suspended Nkosinathi Sibisi, Pule Mmodi made way for Saziso Magawana and Sbonelo Cele came in for Sibusiso Conco in the Arrows starting lineup. Meanwhile, Darwin Gonzales and Thabo Nodad came in for Relebogile Mokhuoane and Jaedin Rhodes for City.

The Citizens were definitely the side in the ascendancy and shortly after the interval Martin produced a fine cross into the box with May's diving header inches away from opening the scoring.

The Capetonians deservedly broke the deadlock with just under ten minutes to go. Thabo Nodada was hauled down by Zuke before Khanyisa Mayo went around the wall and found the bottom left corner with precision.

Mduduzi Mdantsane then had a half-chance to make the scoreline more
