Crystal Palace XI vs Arsenal: Confirmed team news, predicted lineup and injury latest for Premier League today
Patrick Vieira will make a late call today on whether to include Wilfried Zaha and Michael Olise in his Crystal Palace team to face Arsenal in the Premier League.
Ivory Coast winger Zaha picked up a hamstring issue during the game against France over the international break, ruling him out of the subsequent defeat by England at Wembley.
The grade-two tear was described by manager Patrice Beaumelle as requiring “maybe six weeks or two months” on the sidelines “if it gets worse”.
Olise, meanwhile, withdrew from the France Under-21 squad while suffering from inflammation in his foot.
Completing Patrick Vieira’s concerns ahead of the Selhurst Park match-up are Nathan Ferguson’s hamstring injury and a doubt over James McArthur.
“We will see how it is going to be tomorrow, but we have to wait for the next couple of days before thinking about [Zaha] starting training with the squad,” the Eagles boss said on Thursday.
“We will wait and see what happens. We have until Monday so hopefully he will get better, and he can have a couple of days of training with the team. We have to wait and see what will happen over the next couple of days.
“[Olise] is not ready to do some work outside. We have to wait day after day and see how he is feeling, and then we will see.”
Predicted Crystal Palace XI: Guaita; Clyne, Andersen, Guehi, Mitchell; Gallagher, Kouyate, Schlupp; Olise, Mateta, Zaha.
