Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira responds to Aaron Wan-Bissaka Man United transfer reports

Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira refused to be drawn on speculation over a move for Aaron Wan-Bissaka but revealed he is still loved in South London, despite leaving Selhurst Park in 2019.

The 24-year-old has struggled for minutes since Ralf Rangnick arrived at Old Trafford, with Diogo Dalot often named in the starting line-up ahead of him.

United spent £50m on the Croydon-born defender and has made 126 appearances in all competitions since his switch. With Erik ten Hag due to take over in the summer, there have been reports suggesting that Wan-Bissaka could move away from the 20-time English champions.

"I don’t want to make any comment, he’s a United player. I know he came through the academy here and people love him for what he did for Crystal Palace, but he is a United player," he said in his press conference.

Although the legendary Premier League midfielder side-stepped the speculation surrounding the full-back, the Eagles have been mentioned as a possible destination for Wan-Bissaka on loan. The 24-year-old wasn't in the squad for the draw with Chelsea on Thursday due to injury and was an unused substitute in the defeat to Arsenal.
