Cristiano Ronaldo shares message with Manchester United fans after sensational hat-trick vs Tottenham

Cristiano Ronaldo has sent a message to Manchester United fans after his sensational hat-trick against Tottenham this evening. The last time Ronaldo scored against Tottenham at Old Trafford he was 24-years-old and scored twice. Almost 13 years on, he went one better aged 37.

Ronaldo 's first hat-trick back at United - and his second for the club since January 2008 - crowned his finest performance in a season where he has been repeatedly questioned. The Portuguese superstar put together an emphatic striking performance, scoring twice in the first half and winning the game with a goal with 10 minutes to go against Spurs.

It's a crucial victory which United fans will feel was a must-win if they are to compete for the fourth spot in the Premier League. United currently hold the position, but Arsenal have four games in hand.

But Ronaldo gave United fans plenty to be positive about on Saturday evening, reminding world football of his qualities - even at aged 37.

And posting on his social media, he has told United fans how he feels about the club.

On his Instagram page, he wrote: "Tremendously happy with my first hat-trick since I came back to Old Trafford! Nothing beats the feeling of being back on the pitch and help the team with goals and effort. We’ve proven once again that we can beat any team in any given day, as long as we work hard and stand together as one. There are no limits for Man. United! No matter what! Let’s go, Devils!"

Ronaldo seemed to truly enjoy himself throughout the game, playing with a confidence level that United fans may feel has been lacking at time this season.
