Cristiano Ronaldo: Man Utd star vs Atletico is the ‘saddest and funniest video at the same time’

It’s advantage Manchester United in their Champions League tie against Atletico Madrid.

United went to the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium and came away with a 1-1 draw on Wednesday in the first leg of their last-16 tie. They were under pressure for much of the match but Anthony Elanga’s late equaliser pulled them back on level terms.

Beat the Spanish side at home and they’re through to the last-eight of the Champions League.

United are now unbeaten in 10 matches in all competition in 90 minutes.

However, despite the uplift in form, there is still the elephant in the room – Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo has scored just one goal in his last seven Premier League appearances and the match against Atletico was the first Champions League match in which he’s failed to score this season.

Is Ronaldo the problem or are Man United the problem?

Well, a video following the draw against Atleti has gone viral on social media and it very much suggests the latter.

While the caption of ‘This has to be the most saddest and funniest video at the same time’ is exaggerated, it really does shed some light on why the Portuguese superstar may have stopped scoring.

The short clip shows Ronaldo standing inside the penalty area surrounded by Atletico Madrid defender. Not one, not two but three crosses come into the box that give him absolutely no chance of doing anything with.

Following the third cross from Marcus Rashford, Ronaldo can’t help but show his frustrations.
