Cristiano Ronaldo: Man Utd legend was not happy at full-time vs Burnley
Cristiano Ronaldo started on the bench as Manchester United draw 1-1 against Burnley on Tuesday evening.
Ralf Rangnick chose to start Edinson Cavani in place of Ronaldo for their trip to Turf Moor.
When asked about the decision before the game, Rangnick said, per the Daily Mail: “Today it will require a lot of sprinting and chasing a lot of balls.
“A lot of fighting for second balls and I think this profile fits perfectly for Edison. That’s why I decided to start him today. We will also need Cristiano to start in the next couple of games.”
Ronaldo was needed for the game. He was substituted on with the two sides drawing 1-1 in the second half.
But he was unable to find a winner. And the 37-year-old was clearly not happy at all at the final whistle.
Footage has emerged of Ronaldo running straight off the pitch at full-time.
He threw some wrist tape on the floor before disappearing down the tunnel. Watch the moment below…
