Cristiano Ronaldo Jr shows off his free kick prowess in training with fantastic hit

When Cristiano Ronaldo made his surprise return to Manchester United last summer, it felt like a seismic day in the football world.

Having spurned the advances of Manchester City, Ronaldo joined a squad brimming with brave, new talent riding on a wave of heady optimism ahead of the new season.

What has followed, however, has been nothing short of a nightmare.

United started the season well with Ronaldo hitting the ground running as their goalscoring spearhead but since those early days they have only managed to lurch from one disaster to the next.

They were sent packing in the Champions League, tumbled out of both domestic cups and fell woefully off the pace in the Premier League.

It was all capped by a record-breaking loss at Brighton over the weekend that left Ronaldo with naught to do but laugh at the miserable state of affairs.

However, while joy has been hard to come by on the field, Ronaldo can at least take some comfort in the up and coming performances of his son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr, who has been tearing it up in the United age groups.

Highlights of some of his performances have been doing the rounds online and it’s safe to say the lad is a chip off the old block.

Now, footage of the youngster practicing his free-kicks has emerged showing just how much talent the boy possesses.

He might only be 11, but Ronaldo Jr can certainly give the ball one heck of a ping, as you can see in the clip below.
