Cowboys star CeeDee Lamb among teammates to express support for Micah Parsons following trade request

Micah Parsons has officially requested a trade from the Dallas Cowboys after grueling negotiations of a contract extension. Chris Broussard, Kevin Wildes, and Eric Mangini ask if this is the right decision by Parsons.

Micah Parsons announced he had requested a trade from the Dallas Cowboys in a social media post on Friday and his teammates have come out in support of him. 

Parsons, 26, said after months of stalled negotiations that he "no longer want(s) to be" with the Cowboys. 

Parsons’ superstar teammate, CeeDee Lamb, took to X to express his support.

"Never fails dawg. Just pay the man what you owe em. No need for the extra curricular," Lamb wrote. 

Cowboys’ cornerback Trevon Diggs, linebacker DeMarvion Overshown, and defensive Juanyeh Thomas all changed their profile pictures on X to include Parsons. 

In his post, Parsons said he did everything to show he wanted to stay with the Cowboys. 

"Yes I wanted to be here. I did everything I could to show that I wanted to be a Cowboy and wear the star on my helmet. I wanted to play in front of the best fans in sports and make this Americas [sic] team once again. The team my pops and I grew up cheering for way up in Harrisburg, PA. Unfortunately, I no longer want to be here," Parsons wrote in his post.
