Middlesbrough are weighing up a possible summer move for Chelsea defender Baba Rahman, as per a report from Ghana Soccer Net.
Boro face divisional competition from Reading for the left-back’s services, with Rahman spending last season on loan with the Royals, impressing in his 29 league games with the Berkshire outfit.
The report states that PAOK FC and Augsburg have also approached Chelsea in regard to Rahman’s situation coming into the summer months.
With Neil Taylor leaving Middlesbrough in the summer, Chris Wilder is seemingly looking to bolster his full-back options ahead of an expected promotion push next season.

Although he was part of the joint-worst defence in the Championship last season, the Ghanaian was a reasonably decent figure in the Royals’ backline.
The wing-back role is something that would definitely suit him considering his defensive vulnerabilities – and he has certainly shown a willingness to get forward during his time at the Select Car Leasing Stadium.
With Neil Taylor leaving, Boro certainly need a new option in this position and with this, he could be an ideal addition at the Riverside Stadium.
They shouldn’t be prepared to fork out too much though in terms of his transfer fee and wages – because he didn’t exactly establish himself as one of the best full-backs in the Championship during 2021/22.
