Corrie's Jack P Shepherd in fuming rant about household item as he explains why it 'doesn't work'

Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd had a few choice words to say in a comical Instagram video. In a sweary collection of clips shared on his social media the soap's David Platt saw the funny side as he fumed about a household item.

Demonstrating just how tricky it can be, he sounded off about clingfilm as he made a mess of covering a platter of cakes. Jack, 34, branded food wrap 'f***ing annoying' and laughed at the thought of it being presented on the BBC business pitch show Dragons' Den.

He asked: "In this day in age how we've not got anything better than f***ing clingfilm? Imagine them trying to sell this s*** on Dragon's Den now? Look, that's the best I can do." And he added: "It's just s*** isn't it, f***ing annoying."

It doesn't really work. Can I have 600 million pounds please?"

Jack, who has played David in the ITV soap since 2000, recently raised laughs when he opened up about an 'awful' celebrity encounter. He suffered the awkward moment when he attended a festival at Knutsford's Tatton Park.

The soap star says he was asked by organisers to pose for a photo with Spandau Ballet legend and Celebrity Gogglebox favourite Martin Kemp, who was hosting an 80s night at the outdoor event. After Martin 'no idea' who he was things then went from bad to worse as Jack accidentally stood on his pristine white trainers.

He revealed on the Sofa Cinema
